The Actor and the Housewife

The Actor and the Housewife by Shannon Hale is actually about an LDS young mother who meets her Hollywood crush actor.  The story is really funny, especially for a mom, and it follows her though her family, marriage, and friendships as she develops a relationship with this actor.

  Entertaining and fun.  I literally laughed out loud a few times.  Its been a few years since I read this and I might have to pick it up again

Potato Pie

This week's recommendation is one I was a bit skeptical about at first because of the long, weird book title. But the book was a good one! It is called "The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society" by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows. The Book is written in a style I had never read before. It is a compilation of letters written between a woman author and some people she is interviewing. It tells a story of how a group of people are affected by the German occupation of their island, and what they do to overcome it together. Cute, humorous, and fun. I really enjoyed this one
